FAQs
How would you describe the different Let's Bond viscosities/thicknesses?
Viscosity refers to how thick or thin a liquid flows. It is measured in centipoise - "cps", for short. The lower the cps number, the thinner the liquid is. Water has a viscosity of 1 cps. The higher the cps number, the thicker it is. Honey typically has a viscosity around 5000 cps.
Our cyanoacrylate glue products come in multiple viscosity options to suit different bonding needs. Our THIN viscosity is 5 cps (similar to water) and flows quickly. It works well for precise applications, tight gaps, and saturating porous substrates such as soft wood. Our MEDIUM viscosity glues (100 cps and 300 cps) have a consistency similar to vegetable oil and offer balanced flow and control for general-purpose bonding. Our THICK viscosity is 700 cps, which is similar to syrup and provides slower flow and extended working time, ideal for vertical surfaces and larger gaps where you need more time to position materials.
